Start without signing in. Signing in with Google, or Apple on iOS, enables a separate account ledger with automatic sync. Existing local entries upload only when you choose to import them. Signing out does not delete your account.
Currencies and totals
Each entry keeps its saved exchange rate. Historical totals use those rates; the exchange-rate center shows the latest reference rates. Your recorded balance is income minus expenses, not a bank balance.
Backups
Export a password-encrypted backup from Settings and keep it safe. Its password cannot be recovered. Check your backup before deleting data or changing devices.
